Analysts’ consensus on Ethereum (ETH) turns to a strong buy

Although Ethereum (ETH) price has been trapped in a bear market so far in 2026, down over 10% year-to-date (YTD), cryptocurrency analysts’ consensus has turned bullish.

The Analyst Consensus Index, a daily crypto market sentiment metric that shows net bullish-vs-bearish balance among a curated group of tracked analysts, on Ethereum was bullish on September 23, according to data from CryptoQuant. Meanwhile, the hourly sentiment from 180 opinions from crypto analysts hovered at +59, or a ‘Strong Buy’ sentiment.

This index has remained on the ‘Buy’ consensus since around July 29, 2026, when ETH price traded at $1,908. At press time, the monthly consensus from 107 analysts was a Buy with a +36 score.

At the time of writing, among the bullish crypto analysts are Raoul Pal, founder and CEO of Real Vision, and pseudonymous trader Rekt Capital.

“I don’t trade crypto or anything a lot. I am a macro guy with long-term horizons…I just add when the market is deeply oversold. I added more ETH at 1,650,” Pal noted earlier this week.

Is now a good time to buy Ethereum?

Over the past six months, ETH price has rallied by more than 33%, thereby trading at $2,660 on Wednesday. In the last 24 hours, ETH price fell around 2.38%, with its trading volume down 1.41% to $17.85 billion, as per metrics from CoinMarketCap.

Ethereum’s recent bullish sentiment has been bolstered by renewed demand from the United States spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), which have recorded an inflow of more than $2.835 billion over the past 3 months.

The Ethereum network, which leads other blockchains in tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) with over $16.6 billion based on data from RWA.xyz, has also benefited from regulatory clarity in the United States.

As such, Wall Street analysts have turned strongly bullish on the ETH price.
