BlackRock loads up on over $1.5 billion of these two cryptocurrencies in 5 days

Although the crypto market capitalization surged by more than $260 billion between September 17, 2026, and September 24, BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK) has accelerated its cryptocurrency acquisition, with over $1.5 billion during the same period.

Over the past five stock-trading days, BlackRock’s three cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) – including iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), and iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) – purchased Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) worth $1.5104 billion, according to data from SoSoValue.

BlackRock’s IBIT recorded a net cash inflow of $1.190 billion over the past seven days. As such, IBIT held Bitcoin worth $67.25 billion at the time of writing.

The firm’s ETHA has registered a net purchase of $320.45 million since last Thursday. As a result, BlackRock’s ETHA has $9.74 billion in net assets at the time of reporting.

Meanwhile, ETHB attracted $15.64 million in net cash inflows over the past seven days, thereby $1.15 billion in net assets.

At the time of publication, BlackRock’s cryptocurrency ETF held assets amounting to $78.14 billion.

BlackRock leads institutions in purchasing Bitcoin and Ethereum

This firm has led other spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF issuers in cryptocurrency accumulation over the past few days. During this period, U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw a net cash inflow of $2.653 billion, increasing their total assets to $108.66 billion.

Meanwhile, the U.S. spot ETH ETFs recorded a net cash inflow of $680.72 million since last Thursday. These funds have since raised their net assets to $17.5 billion.
